Webb was a London painter of animals, especially highland deer in well-painted
scenery, portraits of horses, hunting and skating scenes. He was a member of
Webb family of painters (see also Archibald, Archibald, Jr. and James Webb).
Exhibited, 1846-1866 at the Royal Academy, 1846-1858, British Institute and
Suffolk Street, titles at the Royal Academy including "Red Deer, From Nature",
1846, "Abdallah;", 1854 (the property of Her Majesty The Queen), and
"The Pick of the Fair-Coming Storm", 1858. |
