Amy Gesner Larson
(American, Contemporary )

Larson, who grew up in Wisconsin, completed her BA degree from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. Studying with the equine artist Sam Savitt as well a the watercolorist Judi Betts, Larson works almost exclusively on commission. She won the Purchase Prize at The Art Show at The Dog Show in 1988, as well as in 1996. Together with her husband, the veterinarian George Larson, she operates a dressage stable where Amy trains and teaches riding.
